For most bass enthusiasts, the 6.5-inch woofer is capable. But if you connect a subwoofer with it, like the SVS SB-2000 Subwoofer, they’ll sound better. You may also include an Atacama Nexus-i Speaker Stands 23 inches with that. Pricing Some sounds will reach your ear from the speakers directly, and those frequencies that reached you have actually bounced off walls and then reached you. The sonic character of the sound gets affected when it bounces off surfaces. It also causes a delay in the sound.

For those looking for reasonably priced mid-range speakers, the Klipsch RP-600m is a fantastic choice. It works well in various decor settings and may accommodate an amplifier to enhance its performance. Sound Power Directivity Index (SPDI): In this standard the SPDI is defined as the difference between the listening window curve and the sound power curve. The Klipsch RP-600Ms projected music with considerably more force and impact, but within a narrower horizon line and a shallower field of focus—as if shot with a 90mm lens.Additionally, it has superior bass, so if a subwoofer is outside your budget, consider this. After all, there is a reason why the RP-600M is the upgraded version of the 160M. They are also extremely high-end, so audiophiles will immediately recognize them for both their appearance and the sound quality they produce. The RP-160 system offers an easy-to-use, immersive listening experience. Key Specifications Horn loading accomplishes two things. First, a horn's restricted throat mechanically loads the dome (or cone). This restrictive loading creates a region of high pressure that a horn whose flare is of a certain length and rate of expansion can effectively convert to a large, pulsing wavefront at normal atmospheric pressure. This elegant form of tuned acoustic impedance matching not only makes a horn speaker more sensitive to voltage, it reduces the amount of diaphragm excursion required to produce a given sound-pressure level (SPL), thereby linearizing the system and reducing distortion. Within their designated passbands, horns can be incredibly linear and low-distortion—especially at very low and very high SPLs, where conventional direct-radiating speakers compress and distort.

Additionally, its Ceramically spun-copper woofer enables a design that is both light and strong. Sound Quality Along with that high sensitivity comes a variety of other benefits. The speakers themselves produce much lower intermodulation distortion, the amplifiers run much cooler, amplifier distortion is usually reduced at lower power outputs, and since the subwoofer is producing most of the bass, the current demand on the main amplifiers is significantly reduced. All these things help wring the very best out of any system that uses highly-efficient loudspeakers. The Klipsch RP-160m is another excellent product for the money for those looking for a classy speaker that fits in with a variety of interiors. In the mid-range price range, this device is loaded with premium components and uses exclusive Horn technology to deliver premium sound.

This tech is patented by the company Klipsch, and you may find this technology in other speakers. There are many layers of metal over the cone that led it to be stiff. This is great as it avoids breakup. The mix-up of materials leads to the driver’s regular breakup point to the point that is pretty far from the frequency that it works in. The diaphragm made of Titanium metal is housed in such a way that it forces it to have a piston-like motion. Klipsch had first begun this in the more expensive speakers that they sold known as Linear Travel Suspension. The On-axis Frequency Response (0°) is the universal starting point and in many situations it is a fair representation of the first sound to arrive at a listener’s ears. Another positive was their overall appearance, which earned a lot of positive comments from both family and friends who walked past them during the review process. Most people didn’t believe the price and were not turned off by their size (15.7” H by 8″ W by 11.9″ D). The magnetically attached grill covers reduce the overall output by 1dB and there is no question that they impart a tiny veil over the sound. The RP-600M do require robust loudspeaker stands if you really want to pull every last bit of performance out of them. Similarly, high frequencies emerging from the RP-600M II's larger horn felt smoother and more refined, with less noise in the crossover region. I distinctly preferred the old Klipsches with their speaker grilles attached and the new Klipsches with them removed.

The Wrap Up

As speakers in the market, the Klipsch RP-600M speaker is a 2-way speaker design. It has a woofer that measures 6.5 inches and a tweeter that measures 1 inch. Listening to Macy Gray’s “Stripped”, (an amazingly well-recorded album BTW) I was immediately dazzled by the 600M II’s bass dynamics, along with the soundstage and image focus mentioned earlier. All of those aspects proved better than the original, which is impressive since the 600M was no slouch in those areas. Like the original 600M, the new MKII needs some room to breathe, especially with such a large port in the rear. To that end, I placed the speakers on my 24” metal stands about three feet away from the front and side walls.

Who doesn’t enjoy good music quality to enjoy whether throughout the day or just for a bit of time?

Klipsch RP-600M

Klipsch loudspeakers are renowned for their horn-loaded tweeters. The RP-600M II, along with the other models in the Reference Premiere range, employs the company's proprietary Tractrix horn-loading geometry. The horn features a silicon fascia and computer moulded phase plugs, which acts as a sort of filter, while the tweeter itself uses Klipsch's Linear Travel Suspension technology to generate a piston-like motion in the titanium diaphragm. I had a slight preference for the sound of the RP-600Ms with their magnetically attached grilles in place, but my review observations were made without grilles. These speakers also have a dual-layer copper-wound coil with great conductivity, producing a pleasant sound. The woofer is contained in a non-resonating steel enclosure, reducing distortion and concentrating on high-quality acoustics, making the RP 600m great. Really good balance of precision of instruments/vocalists in the soundstage while still having good horizontal dispersion (±50° to ±60°).
