More thorough review to follow when I've learned how not to lose the patches I create 🤦. Including side by side comparison with other pedals. The experiment with discrete Send and Return did work to create a pseudo-parallel path. Kind of funky getting it sorted. It's a thing of beauty. The pictures don't do it credit. While everyone else produces near identical machines, or apes the Line6 range, Zoom as ever, do their own thing. It's the stealth bomber of multi effects. With bright coloured lights. So not really that stealthy. Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty

Synth and pitch-based effects have taken a step up IMO. I'm finding that I like them more and can do more with them. On the B3n, this category was a real struggle. The synth sounds I'm getting now on the B6 are so much better than the B3 or B3n. At the top right is an input selection switch. The B6 can accommodate two instruments (hurrah!) and this switch simply selects between them. Directly below the input switch is a DI selection switch that cycles through two valve types and two transistor types of modelled DI box. If you’d rather not have a DI box model at the end of your signal chain, there’s also a defeat option. Finally, at the bottom right‑hand side is a bypass switch. It cycles through options of bypass off, bypass effects (leaving any selected DI option in place) and bypass all. You might need this manual in the future. Always keep it in a place where you can access it easily.By using an SD card, the recording time can be lengthened and phrases can be saved. An SD card also enables use of other audio files as loops. Preselect Processed by legendary Zoom technology, no matter what DI type you need for your sound, the B6 Multi Effects Bass Processor will deliver super-fat bottom end thanks to the analogue circuit modelling as well as an articulate top end from the 88.2kHz sampling frequency. Powerful recording and editing software Even though it would eat up 2 slots, it would be great if it worked, to be able to have the ability to wet/dry mix between 4 other effects - mainly OD and compression. FX loop & Send/Return: Standard feature that comes in handy. Also, the discrete Send could be used alone to pull a feed before cab modeling to send to your stage amp. The discrete Return could be used as an additional input for an external source. Touch Screen Usability: Consisting of a 4.3" colour LCD touch-screen interface, setting up, selecting or adjusting your tones is made simple and fast. Zoom B6 Bass Multi-Effects Processor Specifications:

With four DI models and advanced multi-effects, the B6 gives you freedom to explore entirely new sounds. Looper: I'm not a looper guy, but if you are and looper time/capacity matter to you, the SD card slot solves this problem

I didn't compare it with Line 6 to be fair. I chose it in preference to a variety of other multi effects because it has the effects I like and none of the others had all of them. It doesn't restrict me to one of each type of effect as some others do, it doesn't do parallel but the effects all seem to have mix options so that's fine, I know and like the brand. Oh and of four Line 6 products I've owned two have broken on me. None of my Zooms ever has. I found it to be utterly silent. Unless I plumbed in a high gain distortion followed by a flanger and reverb - but then show me any set up with those pedals which is silent! And there's a noise gate if you want it anyway. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.

In Effect Board mode, you are given a visual representation of your signal path whereby each of the six simultaneous effects will be assigned to a stomp you can switch on and off within your chain. This will be home base for many players as it gives you immediate access to different effects within your chain to punch in or out depending on the needs of the song. The recommended retail price is EUR 534.31, so hopefully the street price will be under EUR 500. There is a lot on offer here, and it looks as though Zoom has included all the basics and more. Gigging bass players and home users alike are sure to appreciate this new bass multi-effects processor from Zoom. More Information on ZoomSize: the pedal is big for a Zoom pedal...bigger than the G5n I use. I may need to carry it in its own case rather than stuffed in my gig bag. If you like the SansAmp BDDI, you'll really like the B6 model. I like it more than when I actually HAD the BDDI. The B6 has the newer version modeled with Midrange control. inputs w/dedicated switch and each with global EQ/Level is perfect for switching between 2 drastically different basses in live performance. Nice touch. Ease of use. With all modern tech one expects a learning curve. I managed to scroll through various boards and patches, alter effect parameters, set up my own board, rename it and promptly save a different board over it by accident. All in about 20 minutes working from the pedal not the computer software. Premium FX: Continuing to push the boundaries of effects, the Zoom B6 comes with an impressive range of modelled classic and boutique stompboxes and hardware.
